Monday, February 37:00—8:45 PMNorthville Community CenterNorthville Community Center303 W Main St, Northville, MI, 48167

Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson will talk about his life and experiences as a Red Tail, Tuskegee Airman and POW. He is one of 32 Tuskegee Airmen from the 332nd Fighter Group to be shot down defending a country that considered him to be a second-class citizen.  A Detroit native, Jefferson trained at Tuskegee Institute and joined one of the most decorated fighting units, the flying P51s with their legendary and feared red tails. He was shot down over France and when captured spent the balance of the war in Luftwaffe prison camps in Germany. Jefferson is a great American hero and patriot, as told in deeply personal memoir, Red Tail Captured, Red Tail Free.
