The Schons share their experience of renovating their 99-year-old Northville Craftsman home.

Respect for the original architecture, including the interior design and space, while taking care of an older home, has been their goal since they bought the house 5 years ago. Executing the renovation phase-by-phase, they learned to appreciate good advice and especially good craftsmanship. Since initially focusing on updating the interior and exterior of the home they have extended the same principle to the landscaping. The “respect” part of their approach includes environmental consideration from sustainable energy to native plants that need less water and support wildlife.
This virtual presentation will inspire you and provide some applicable ideas for your own renovation project.

Lisa and Manfred moved to Northville in 2015 after commuting between homes in Goleta, CA and Canton, MI every 4 months or so for a period of 5 years. Manfred first established his business in downtown Northville before they decided to look for a home within walking distance.
