Formed in Milan, MI in the spring of 2019 at a bluegrass jam session. Willie Carter (guitar, vocals) and Chris Dawson (mandolin, vocals) created a musical partnership to focus on writing and promoting original songs and music. This venture quickly turned into a full band by adding Chip Cope (banjo, dobro, vocals) and Hampton Cope (bass, vocals) both from Northern Ohio. The name Huron Ridge was adopted to emphasize the influence of mountain and traditional Appalachian music as well as the origin of the band in the Southeast Michigan area. Huron Ridge has been featured at local bluegrass festivals, music venues as well as the World Wide Bluegrass Radio Show.

This program has been generously funded by the Friends of the Plymouth District Library.
