Ready to eat your words? Join us at the Northville District Library to celebrate the International Edible Book Festival! This event unites bibliophiles, book artists and food lovers to celebrate the ingestion of culture and its fulfilling nourishment. Participants create an “edible book”, which is a culinary interpretation of any book, character, literary pun, or plot. Entries will be judged and awarded prizes based off of three categories: Best Dish (Adult), Best Dish (Teen), Most Creative, and Popular Vote.

Edible Books Festival is open to the entire Northville community. All entries must be dropped off in the main library meeting room between 5:30-6:00 PM. The room will be opened to the public beginning at 6:00. Tasting will commence at 6:30 and the winners will be awarded at 7:00.

This event is open to the public, however, if you are bringing a dish, you must pre-register! Registration begins February 1st. Be sure print out the title of your entry and a list of ingredients to bring to the event—your books will be consumed! If your dish needs a specific serving utensil (i.e.: tongs, ladle, cake server) please bring your own.

Registration for this event has now closed.
