Carlo Meeting Room, Northville District Library

Booking Period: Between 1 hour and 8 hours
This room is on the main level of the Library, located near the entrance and check out desk.
You must be a Library District resident, group, or business with a Northville address to book this room.
• You may use the room only during the Library's open hours of operation.
• For-profit entities will be charged a fee: Full Day: $150.00 Up to 4 Hours: $75.00
• You are responsible for room set up and clean up. Please ask at the Information Desk if you need access to more chairs or tables.
• You may book a room up to 6x per year.
• Only light refreshments are allowed in Meeting Rooms (ex: cookies, packaged snacks, covered beverages)
• A 15-minute cleanup is considered part of your room booking. You are responsible for cleaning up and leaving the room before the next scheduled group.
• Minimum room attendance is considered to be 15. Please do not book this room for smaller groups, as they may be subject to denial.
The Meeting Room may not be reserved more than three (3) months in advance.
Bookings are approved on a quarterly basis:
● Starting November 15 for December - February
● Starting February 15 for March - May
● Starting May 15 for June - August
● Starting August 15 for September – November

Digital Conversion Station, Northville District Library

Booking Period: Between 2 hours and 4 hours
(THIS IS NOT A MEETING ROOM. YOU CANNOT USE THIS ROOM FOR MEETINGS.)
Convert older video and audio formats into digital files. Conversion equipment is located in the Local History Room on the Lower Level of the Library.
YOU MUST ATTEND A SHORT DEMO PRIOR TO FIRST USE OF ANY DIGITAL CONVERSION EQUIPMENT.
If you book without knowing how to use the equipment, assistance will be limited as we will not have staff available to solely assist/train you EXCEPT at scheduled time listed on the website.
Call or register online for a demo, which are held Thursdays at 2 pm. Registration is preferred. How To Reserve Time on the Equipment

Select DIGITAL CONVERSION STATION (not Meeting Rooms)
Select the day/time you wish to use the equipment.
If you have NOT received training on the equipment, we do not train "on the fly". Please schedule training as noted above
BEFORE using the equipment.
OR Call ahead (248-349-3020 ext 226) to reserve a two-hour time slot. Time slots subject to availability. Use the online form to see all the open slots available.
If no one is signed up for the next time slot you may stay longer
Drop-ins are allowed if you have attended a demo, are familiar with the equipment, and do not require tech assistance.

How Much Time Will I Need to Convert?
This will vary depending on your familiarity with the equipment AND what is being converted.
Estimated times: if your original format runs an hour, it will take approximately one hour to dub/convert. This does not include set up time.

This is MakeIT, the Northville District Library's Makerspace.
(This is NOT a general meeting room nor a study room, and may NOT be booked for meetings nor studying.)
All bookings subject to approval by MakeIT staff. If you schedule on a Friday between 12 and 1 OR on a Saturday that MakeIT is not open on, your reservation will be denied.
